This blue/gray OEM plating was used on a variety of components such as: disc brake dust shields, coil brackets, pulleys, alternator fans, vacuum advance canisters, relays, hose clamps and misc. brackets. Proper surface preparation is one of the most important factors in achieving a quality finish. This specially formulated PRE Painting Prep removes dirt, wax, polish, grease, silicone, buffing compound, even road tar - ensuring a clean surface. Very easy to use: just spray it on and wipe it off. Works better than lacquer thinner, which can leave a thin residue on the surface and possibly interfere with paint adhesion.

Standard engine paints are too thick for radiator use because they can interfere with heat transfer and block air flow between the cooling fins. Also, standard paint tends to flake off radiator tanks. Radiator Black helps solve this problem. This acrylic enamel factory-finish (85% gloss) withstands 300 degree F., sprays on thick enough to cover completely, yet thin enough to not interfere with heat transfer. Underhood Black is the correct shade of black, having just the right 10-20 percent semigloss finish most car manufacturers used on radiator supports, inner fender walls, lug wrenches, jack bases, underhood brackets, and other parts. Hardware store black paints are either too thick, too glossy, or the wrong color. Just clean, degrease, and prepare the parts well, then spray on for a factory-like finish. This acrylic lacquer withstands up to 250 degrees F and goes on thin for a satin smooth finish which does not hide surface details. One aerosol covers 6 square feet.
